Some partnerships create an impact far beyond the finish line. Team Via Sistina’s Tour d’Horse story was one of them. 🧡🐎
A heartfelt thank you to Chris Waller, the Chris Waller Racing team, Jun Zhang and the Yulong team for embracing Tour d’Horse 2026 and proudly supporting KIDS Foundation.
Inspired by the extraordinary spirit of champion mare Via Sistina, the team united behind a shared commitment to helping children, young people and families impacted by trauma, injury and disabling health conditions.
Riding for their team captain Fletcher, whose story is one of incredible resilience, Yulong’s Claudia McDougall and Chris Waller Racing’s Charlie Duckworth and Emily Inwood took on the ride with heart, determination and purpose.
One of the most memorable moments came on Community Day at Scone Equestrian Centre, when Fletcher pulled on the Team Via Sistina jersey and climbed aboard a horse for the very first time. Cheered on by Chris Waller Racing’s Melbourne Cup-winning jockey Darren Beadman, and surrounded by encouragement and support, Fletcher embodied the confidence, courage and possibility that Tour d’Horse creates for young people recovering from unimaginable trauma.
With Sophie Baker and the wider Chris Waller Racing and Yulong teams behind them every step of the way, the riders demonstrated how racing can create an impact far beyond the finish line.
Along the way, the off-the-track thoroughbreds quietly connected people, creating moments of hope, belonging and possibility, reminding us that their impact continues long after racing.
Together, Team Via Sistina showed that racing’s greatest legacy is measured not only by champions, but by the lives its people and horses continue to change.
Racing beyond the track. Impact beyond the finish line.🧡🐎
