Team Ride 4 Bella is proud to be part of Tour d’Horse 2026, represented by a single, passionate rider — Nellie Tuddenham. This six-day ride on horseback through the rugged terrain of the Hunter Valley is more than a physical challenge. It is a deeply personal journey that honours the life and legacy of Bella Tuddenham, who passed away at just 20 days old after fighting Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). Ride 4 Bella was founded by Emma Tuddenham, Bella’s mum, to ensure Bella’s life would continue to create impact. What began as a mother’s tribute has grown into a powerful movement, advocating change, raising vital funds and awareness for SMA and supporting families navigating this challenging health condition. Bella’s legacy also lives on through her nan, Susie O’Neill, Founder and CEO of the KIDS Foundation. After a day of horse riding brought unexpected healing to Bella’s family following her funeral, Susie introduced equine assisted learning into the KIDS Foundation’s recovery and education programs, an initiative that helped inspire the creation of Tour d’Horse itself. In 2026, Nellie rides for Team Ride 4 Bella, carrying her sister’s memory with her every step of the way. Through her courage, commitment, and love for horses, Nellie continues to transform loss into hope, and purpose into action. Every dollar donated to Team Ride 4 Bella helps fund recovery programs that offer healing, connection, and hope to families when they need it most.
