Why are we fundraising

At James Harron Bloodstock, our focus is helping clients achieve their racing and breeding goals through expert selection, diligent management and a commitment to nurturing champions of the turf. We understand the heart and generosity of the thoroughbred — qualities that will again shine through as we support a cause deeply important to us. In 2025, Anna Ryan completed the KIDS Foundation’s Tour d’Horse, a six day, 200 km endurance ride through the Hunter Valley on retired racehorses. The experience had a profound impact on her. Meeting the children supported by the KIDS Foundation, hearing their stories of trauma, burns, injuries and unimaginable adversity, and witnessing their bravery and optimism, changed her perspective forever. Their resilience stayed with her long after the ride ended, inspiring her to return in 2026 with an even stronger sense of purpose. Tour d’Horse is far more than a physical challenge; it’s an opportunity to support children rebuilding their lives after trauma, while also celebrating the value of retraining and rehoming retired racehorses. Every kilometre ridden helps fund vital programs that provide recovery, therapy and support for some of Australia’s most vulnerable young people. Anna’s goal this year is to raise $30,000 for the KIDS Foundation. Every donation is tax deductible, and every contribution goes directly toward changing a child’s life.
