IN MEMORY OF CAROL MAYER - A LOVED MOTHER, FRIEND AND SURVIVOR

This is a message from Carol's brother Russell:

I have not paid tribute in any way as yet for my darling sister Carol who passed away yesterday (12 December 2020) from a long battle with stomach cancer. I wanted to honour her in a special way, a way somehow that would make her proud, so I have waited, right now that moment is with me.

This is an extremely important post and you must read on, I implore you please.

I am currently at Carols house, in her favorite spot. The only other person here is Mum. She’s inside watching TV relaxing bless her soul, she’s done it tough. This is now what Carol wants. I feel her, I have a chill and goosebumps!! She is right beside me.

I know my sister better than anyone, our hearts were one. If you want to honour Carol, you must read on. I feel her spirit strongly with me in this. I feel she is guiding me and telling me what to do here.

There is currently a media frenzy going on about the death of my Phoenix. There are Newspapers, TV Stations, Radio Stations contacting me. They said they could cut me some slack while we are mourning, but my sister Natalie and I said “bring it on” We must strike while the iron is hot. There is a trust being setup, it is going to be in Carol’s honour. I have been working on this with two special ladies. One has a foundation already, so we are piggybacking off the KIDS Foundation. A great not for profit organisation that we can trust.

The funds you donate to the Carol Mayer Trust will be 100% used for:

*Burns survivors doing it tough

*Nurses doing it tough

*Kids doing it tough

One of the many heart to hearts I had with Carol was that she had unfinished business. A tear welled up in her eyes when she told me that. She told me that she is not afraid of dying, but she is so sad to be Leaving her Son Zach, not seeing him find a lady and having her grand kids, and also that she had unfinished business.

She wanted to use the best of her ability to raise awareness for those suffering. She had so much to do in her mind, so much more for so many, as many as she could help. She knew her scars had pull, she knew those scars had influence, and she used them to the utmost of her ability to create awareness. She displayed her beautiful self the most openly she could to influence many. She put herself on the line!

Well my Family and Friends, let’s finish the business. Together we can do this for Carol. Don’t cry, don’t let the grief of her death overcome you, instead celebrate one of the most amazing women to walk the Earth. Let’s pull some people out of hardship, let’s make them smile. And high above us, Carol will smile. Please don’t send flowers. Don’t send anything, let’s honour her and start the Carol Mayer Trust tonight, right now.
