Horses have been a part of my life since before I could walk. My grandmother Eva had me on our family pony, Judy, the moment I could sit up! Growing up in Ireland I spent my childhood on horseback. My family bred and raced National Hunt horses which led to a passion for the thoroughbred and racing. For the past 13 years, I have worked for James Harron Bloodstock where I have been lucky enough to share in the incredible journey of many amazing racehorses.

I am taking part in The KIDS Foundation Tour D’Horse 2025 after attending an information night at Randwick racecourse where I had the privilege of meeting some of the incredible children and families supported by The KIDS Foundation. Hearing their stories of resilience and courage was life-changing. These are children who have endured unimaginable injuries, trauma and burns, are survivors of accidents, abuse and violent crimes. Despite everything they have been through, their strength and optimism left an indelible mark on me. I knew immediately that I had to be a part of this cause.

In May 2025, I’ll be participating in Tour D’Horse, a 200km endurance ride through the Hunter Valley. This isn’t just a ride; it’s a journey with purpose. The event also shines a light on the vital importance of rehoming and retraining retired racehorses, the horses we will ride are all ex-racehorses. This is something close to my heart as someone who has spent my life around these magnificent animals.

Tour D’Horse is going to be incredibly challenging but it’s an opportunity to make a tangible difference to these amazing kids. My goal is to raise $25,000 for the KIDS Foundation and every dollar goes directly towards helping children in need.
