7. Team Freedman - Riders: Sophie Johnson & Elise Watkins

The Freedman family tree is steeped in racing history over four generations and have been successful in just about every feature race on the Australian racing calendar. We are thrilled to be joining forces and getting involved with this incredible event for The KIDS Foundation.

Rider: Sophie Johnson
Originally from England. Sophie has been involved with riding and caring for horses for over 20 years. She made the bold move to Australia nearly 7 years ago and has worked for Michael Freedman Racing as his Racing Manager since June 2020. Sophie and MFR are proud to join forces with Anthony and Sam Freedman for such a great cause.

Rider: Elise Watkins
Elise is the foreman for Anthony and Sam Freedman in Mt Eliza, Vic. Being relatively new to the racing industry, Elise has brought her knowledge and experience to the team after having always been around horses and successfully competing her own in showjumping and eventing for the past 15 years.
