Why are we fundraising

Thenford Farm is proudly getting behind Tour d’Horse and the life-changing work of the KIDS Foundation, supporting a cause that reflects the very best of horsemanship, heart and community. A respected thoroughbred farm in the Southern Highlands with Tim Miller at the helm, Thenford is known for its thoughtful approach to horse care and education, guided by patience, respect and integrity. Those same values now extend beyond the paddock, as the team rallies to support Tour d’Horse and the children and families the KIDS Foundation exists to serve. This year, Thenford’s support is led by Chloe Bennett, who will ride as part of the team, with her father Greg Bennett joining her for part of the journey during the week. Greg rode in Tour d’Horse last year and has become a familiar and trusted voice within the KIDS Foundation community, often appearing in Foundation videos and conversations that speak to the quiet power of horses in healing. Greg often shares an ancient proverb that captures the spirit of this ride: “There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man.” It’s a belief that sits at the heart of Tour d’Horse, where horses help create space for connection, strength and recovery.
