In 2026, Sophie Johnson, our Racing Manager, will ride for the third time, passionately supporting the foundation’s life-saving and transformative efforts. This extraordinary event not only aids the KIDS Foundation in building a safer Australia for children but also shines a light on retired racehorses and their versatility, helping them find loving homes beyond the track. A testament to this is Communist, a Michael Freedman-trained, Group 1 winner, who now resides with Sophie after retiring from racing. Their deep connection was a highlight at Tour d'Horse 2025, inspiring all as they contributed to raising over $1 million for the KIDS Foundation, positively impacting the future and wellbeing of over 300,000 children and families nationwide. Sophie and Communist are eagerly anticipating 2026, when they will once again represent Team Michael Freedman Racing.
