Please tick this box to confirm you have read and understand the following message - The K.I.D.S. Foundation is committed to minimising any harm from alcohol or other drug use in the interests of protecting the health and safety of those participating in their events and camps. The K.I.D.S. Foundation recognises that it has a responsibility to provide a safe and healthy camp environment for all staff, volunteers and participants. In developing this policy, the K.I.D.S. Foundation recognises the need for appropriate and consistent action where a staff member, volunteer and/or participant demonstrates that his/her use of alcohol or drugs adversely affects his/her behaviour, or affects the safety and morale of the K.I.D.S. Foundation camp participants and/or wider community. Camp Phoenix Rule The K.I.D.S. Foundation recommends responsible consumption for those who choose to drink alcohol. Any intoxication or inappropriate behaviour towards the premises or other Camp Phoenix participants will not be tolerated. Behaviour deemed to be detrimental to the camp will result in exclusion from the camp and its activities. It is recommended that participants consume alcohol in moderation. We believe in harm minimisation and have designed this policy to curb aggressive or anti-social behaviour, triggered by alcohol or drugs. Non-prescription medication is forbidden by law and any person found to be using illicit drugs will be asked to remove themself from Camp Phoenix. Staff, volunteers and participants of K.I.D.S. Foundation camps will achieve this objective by: 1. Prohibiting the service of alcohol to all persons under the age of 18 years; 2. Refusing alcohol to persons who are believed to be approaching an intoxicated state; 3. Encouraging a mature approach to alcohol consumption.
I understand that I must not allow confidential information relating to participants from Camp Phoenix, other volunteers or KIDS Foundation staff to be removed or passed on to others not associated with the KIDS Foundation.
