Why am I fundraising

This year, I’m riding in Tour d’Horse 2026 to raise vital funds for the KIDS Foundation, and I would be so grateful for your support. Last year was my first time on the ride, and it stayed with me in a way I didn’t expect. It wasn’t just the journey. It was the people, the stories, and the quiet strength of the young people and families supported by the Foundation. You meet them, you listen, and something shifts. You realise very quickly that this is so much bigger than you. As a mum, it’s hard not to feel it deeply. To imagine what these children have been through, and the courage it takes to keep moving forward. What the KIDS Foundation does is extraordinary. They don’t just support recovery, they help rebuild confidence, connection and a sense of possibility. That’s why I’m riding again in 2026. Tour d’Horse is a six-day journey through the Upper Hunter Valley, but every kilometre ridden represents something far greater. It’s for the children finding their way back after trauma, for the families navigating the unimaginable, and for the programs that make that recovery possible. Horses are a big part of that story. They have an incredible ability to connect, to calm, and to help rebuild trust without judgement. Seeing that firsthand is something I’ll never forget.
