INJURY PREVENTION PROGRAMS
SeeMore Safety - A preschool health and safety education program delivered through kindergartens and playgroups. The SeeMore Safety program establishes the foundation for developing risk management life skills that will increase safety awareness and decrease injuries in children.
The Safety Club - A safety education program delivered through primary schools, seeking to reduce preventable child injuries and death. It fosters a belief in students and teachers that injuries and incidents are predictable and preventable and promotes a ‘think safe, play safe’ attitude.
INJURY RECOVERY PROGRAMS
Burn Survivors' Network – A support network that offers hope, strength, courage and friendship to burn survivors and their families. Our programs and services include - Camp Phoenix, counselling, a website, newsletter, relationship networks, hospital & rehabilitation-centre communications.
TANGO - (Together Achieving New Goals and Opportunities) is a personal development and leadership program designed to assist young people with life-changing injuries to discover their talents, achieve their goals and experience new opportunities. The program includes Camp TANGO, TANGO Workshops, counselling, website, newsletters and the KIDS Star Award.
KIDS Place - A child and young adult rehabilitation unit within an existing centre that features age appropriate equipment and appearance. The facilities & resources are designed especially for young people with life-changing injuries and are supported by the services and programs provided through the Burns Support Network and TANGO.
