Safe School Community - National Affiliate Agency
KIDS Foundation is passionate and committed to being a world leader in injury prevention and safety education. To further develop this commitment KIDS Foundation is now internationally recognised as the National Safe School Affiliate Agency for Australia. This affiliation means that KIDS Foundation will be able to support schools in their bid to become internationally recognised as a Safe School Community as part of the Safe School Community International Accreditation Programme (SSCIAP).
SSCIAP is an effective, beneficial and sustainable way to promote safety and reduce injuries within the school environment. The name reflects the fact that the Safe Schools concept emerged from the International Safe Communities Movement, has an international focus and that its main activity is an accreditation process. To gain accreditation schools and their communities must be committed to continually striving to build safer surroundings and to developing a culture of appropriate risk management for young people and KIDS Foundation are excited to be able to support them through this process.
