KIDS Foundation Founder, Susie O’Neill, said Camp TANGO provides opportunities for camp participants to build self confidence and gain new skills.
“When young people suffer life-changing injuries, the unfortunate fact is that these injuries due to the trauma associated can not only affect them physically, but also emotionally, reducing their self esteem and self worth.
“One of the main aims of Camp TANGO is to makes these inspirational young people realise how truly special they are and that there are endless opportunities open to them. The camp helps to provide them with new skills, experiences and support to confidently journey through life.

Amanda Bennett from Maryborough is one of the burns survivors attending the camp. She says KIDS Foundation has had a strong and important presence in her life over the past few years.
“It’s because of an experience I had at Camp Phoenix that has lead me to become a confident swimmer. Thanks to KIDS Foundation, I’m always in the pool these days – even aiming to make the state swimming team! KIDS has been a constant positive influence in my life. I’m really looking forward to Camp TANGO – especially the helicopter rides.”
Camp TANGO has been made possible through the support of Cotton On Foundation.
Cotton On Foundation Manager, Tim Diamond, says the Foundation is pleased to be supporting KIDS Foundation.
“KIDS Foundation is a very worthy organisation and we are proud to support Camp TANGO, not only in helping to change the lives of young people but also the lives of our staff through their volunteering experience at the Camp.”
